Skirts for Sara

UPDATED: July 1, 2013:  I will continue to knit scarves, skirts and other items in order to benefit both waiting children and adopting families.  Check the side bar on the blog to see what child and family are benefiting this month.  50% of the selling price of each item will go to either the child or the family.  (Buyer chooses which one.)

Here is Sara modeling a custom made ruffle skirt.  It uses Starbella and Bernat Stretch or Cascade Fixation yarn. It can be made in size 3-4; 4-6; or 8-10. (The elastic waist can be adjusted to a more specific size.)

Find Scarves and Skirts for Sara on Facebook!

Skirts cost $25 each plus $5 shipping.

Here's how it's going to work:

*Leave me a comment and let me know what colors you want and your email address. (Color samples are below.) I also need to know what size and a waist measurement.

*I will make a list of those who have ordered and the order in which you placed your order.

*When your skirt is ready, I will send you an invoice.

*When you have paid the invoice, I will ship your scarf.

*I will then donate half of the selling price to the Waiting Child or Adopting Family.  I will forward the email receipt to you.

  1. So cute!!! My daughter is only 2 weeks old, but I want one of these! I guess I'll go with the size 3-4, but obviously don't have a waist measurement for you. Can you make one without that from me and just take a guess? Let me know if you need one and I can ask a girlfriend who has a 3 year old what her measurement is. I'll take the skirt in Happy Pinks. Thanks so much!!

  2. Christene,

I will just use the waist measurement from the Old Navy website for a size 3. That's what I did with this one. I"ll email you when I have it done.

    Thanks,
    Natalie

  3. I would like to order a skirt for both of my daughters, age 8 and 9 for Christmas. Is it too late? Also, how do you adjust the waist? My 8 hear old has DS and would need more space in the waist than her sister who is in 10% for weight.

    1. It's not too late. I will need colors and sizes. It's helpful if you can give a general size and then a waist measurement. I'll also need your email address so I can send you a paypal invoice when it's done. If you prefer, you can message the info on the facebook page. It's a little more private that way. https://www.facebook.com/pages/Scarves-and-Skirts-for-Sara/383416945054152?ref=br_tf
